Construction Sector Code
The Amended Construction Sector Code (Government Gazette 41287, December 2017) applies to the construction industry and distinguishes between contractors and built-environment professionals.
What makes it different
The Construction Sector Code has its own scorecards, targets and turnover thresholds. Crucially, it measures contractors and built-environment professionals (such as architects, engineers and quantity surveyors) differently.
Using Generic Codes targets for a construction entity — or the contractor scorecard for a professional practice — is one of the most common and costly errors we see.
How we help
- Confirm whether the Construction Sector Code applies and which scorecard is correct
- Model the scorecard against the sector-specific targets
- Align procurement and ESD with project-based spend patterns
- Prepare joint-venture and project-level evidence
- Support verification with an agency experienced in the sector
